I want to print this in place it in my car window. I'm straight but cannot understand the stance that gays shouldn't be allowed to marry. My mom and older sister are on the opposite side than me and I don't know how someone I love so much and taught me right thinks gays shouldn't marry - save family, etc. Such bullshit. Straight people have been making marriage a joke for decades.
Sadly the beliefs people hold are not always easily understood. It always astonishes me when I discover that people who I thought were open-minded prove me wrong. It may just be that they a little more time to get used to the idea. I hope. I have a 20 year old cousin who is gay and who is a shining light in my life. I would love for the world to be a place where he is able to live any way he chooses, whether that be marriage or not, without anyone giving it a second thought. Hopefully that will be soon.
