In Portuguese from Portugal it's called, in fact, Ananás. In Portuguese from Brazil, however, it's called Abacaxi, as nhamiria pointed out. The funny thing is that now, here in Portugal, we call Ananás to the pineapple varieties from all parts of the world that produce it other than latin america, which is marketed as Abacaxi.
