Platypuses are awesome

They are very shy - I have never seen one in the wild, only in a zoo.  They are also pretty small - maybe 10 - 12 inches long as a full grown adult.  They sort of look like you could tuck one under your arm and carry it around like a little dog.  They are very cute.

Oh wow - I didn't realise they're venomous. I live in Australia, and we have a couple of these in nearby rivers and creeks. They're pretty damn cute, but pretty rare to see in the wild. I'll just have to remember to steer clear of it so I don't get poisoned!

Yeah they have venomous spikes on the back of their legs - so don't cuddle one!!
