You may now officially call me Master :)

That will be Master Miss Lyd, Bachelor of Behavioural Science, Master Social Science (Criminology).  The ceremony was fairly uneventful - there was about 250 graduates in my session, and I was number 241, so once I had done my bit, it was almost over.

I am still buggered from the trip - we covered 1950 kms (1211 miles) over three days.

After my graduation ceremony we went to Parkes in New South Wales and saw thCSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope, which was used by NASA to relay the radio broadcast from Apollo 11.

Check out more of Sascha's photos of the dish by making clicky here.

There is also a lovely little Australian movie about the role the telescope played in the moon landing - it's called "The Dish" and I would recommend it if you get a chance to see it.

We stayed at Wagga Wagga Friday night, and Sascha got this awesome pizza - the alien creature in the centre is a Morton Bay Bug, which is kind of a crab crossed with a crayfish.  It had fresh prawns, calamari rings, onion and capsicum, tomato sauce and tartare sauce.  This may well be the pizza that all others will be judged by.  I managed to steal a slice (as well as half the bug) and it was simply amazing.  I seriously regretted my plain old pepperoni!

Other than that we saw lots of farmland, lots of trucks and lots of country folk :)

And I am very glad to be home.
