Asthma Cigarettes.

When someone asks me "do you smoke?" my usual response is "No, I have asthma". But obviously I was just looking at the wrong cigarettes.

These were actually belladonna cigarettes and were still in use in the early 60s. My pediatrician suggested them for me when I was 9. (My folks declined) The atropine, and other belladonna alkaloids actually would help asthma although the smoke would be an irritant. Remember. There weren't vary many drugs for asthma around then besides ephedrine.
